A book on the role of governments in public project management will be published in late November by CRC, a brand of Taylor and Francis. This is the first book to approach these issues in a comprehensive way. Government project management practices from dozens of countries are presented here in a structured way. The most important constructs introduced in the book are: Governmental Project Implementation System (GPIS) and Governmental Project Management Maturity Model (GPM3®). GPIS is a collection of four practice areas: Delivery, Governance, Support and Development working together. GPM3 shows the path of GPIS improvement from the Initial level (no organized practices) to the Optimizing level (GPIS continuously improved).
